Preparing for its debut at the New York Stock Exchange, the freshest face in health insurance needed a bit of freshening up.

With playful branding and a user-centered approach, Oscar was a pioneer in the modern healthcare movement when it first hit the scene in 2014. Since then, however, the rise of countless copycat brands had left this originator feeling stale. In anticipation of its largest expansion to date and an IPO, the company’s creative team brought us on to reimagine the brand. Building on their motto of ‘Changing Healthcare For Good,’ we developed a sophisticatedly whimsical illustration style along with a comprehensive brand system to articulate the delightfully convenient ways Oscar makes health insurance easy. Rolling out across the country mid-pandemic, our work has graced everything from Times Square billboards to mobile apps and much more.
